Blood, we need True Blood!

Sunday night HBO aired the season finale of True Blood. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this particular TV show, let me explain: it was created by Alan Ball (creator of Six Feed Under and American Beauty) and it’s based on Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire Mysteries books. It basically asks you “What if vampires were not only real, but part of society?”. The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic barmaid who finds comfort in the company of vampires since they have no brainwave activity for her to read.
It’s clearly a satire on current society and a wonderful mix of comedy and drama with just the right amount of blood. Okay, I admit, I wouldn’t be upset if there was a little more blood! 
On the other hand, one thing does annoy me a bit: why are they all so horny (not the vampires, everyone!)… I mean, I love when a show includes some sexual content (and not that we’re just under the sheets crap), but do they really have to fuck that much? I’m sorry, it’s just a little to much for that kind of show.
So, just to sum up before I leave you with yet another youtube video, True Blood is not for everyone. It’s not just blood-sucking vampires and it’s not simple a comedy or drama. It’s something you have to open your mind to and embrace that particular reality, or else you’ll just end up hating it.
