SAW V

I finally got the time to watch the fifth movie… I resisted to all the less-legal available versions on the internet and decided to stick to the plan! Man, am I glad I did that…

After four movies, you kind of know what to expect… at least for me, there’s really nothing I find repulsive anymore. I call that the saw-hostel therapy and, come to think of it, that’s kind of a good thing. I know the movie is for adults only (even if half the crowd was populated by annoyingly loud teenagers) but I think otherwise: what if it became part of an education system? Yeah, like, see this and terrorists will look like pussies. Children watching the news and saying That guy blew himself up? Pff, what a noob!

Okay, back to the movie. It was awesome! A lot of people complained that it wasn’t as great as the first one (I’m not even gonna go there) or that it should be less story and more death/torture scenes. I mean, come on! Do you also want Jason to come in with a machete and start Friday the 13th all over again? I thought the movie was awesome exactly because it was more story!

I think people somehow fell in love with the Jigsaw and the whole story behind him, the reason for the things he does. For those people, this movie will be like the last one, a sort of enlightenment on how John proceeds with his work along the way. You will also love how, once again, all the movies come together as one. Even the first one is revisited!

So, to summarize, if you haven’t watched it, now would be a good time! I’ve tried to keep to a no-detail post about the movie, as I’m sure you want to know nothing before watching it.

If you just want to see another random bunch of people get torture and killed watch Hostel… It definitly has less story and more death/torture scenes! Or even better, watch Dawn of the Dead: the movie where zombies exist because they do and they start existing because… yeah.
