Microsoft recenly updated Windows Live services a bit… ok, a lot! Skydrive now holds a whopping 25GB storage capacity and is still completely free. The file uploading system still sucks ass but I think that’s just a temporary ass-sucking situation.
The great thing about this update is that your photos are now located at Windows Live Photos (stored in skydrive)… this new interface is, well, beautiful and with so much functionality that it really makes me wonder if my picasa account was such a good idea. Oh well…
Windows Live Spaces also got a facelift and is now more user-friendly… I still haven’t got the time to set it up but from what I’ve gathered it now has a “recent updates” feature like Facebook which can be linked with your blog (RSS), twitter, stumbleupon, etc. Cool, huh?
Also, all your previous photos in your Space were transferred to the new Live Photos section. That was mighty nice of them… now I just have to try out they’re Live Photos app for Vista and see how it all works out.
I’ll look into it a bit more when I have the time… but it seems like Microsoft if finally “getting it” and with the integration of Windows Live Services in Windows 7, well, it just might be usable enough to stick around…
