Me and my girlfriend recently had a “movie night” and we decided to start with Slumdog Millionaire.
This movie was nominated for 10 oscars. It was directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) and all I could read around the net was how great this movie is…
Well, excuse me to break the record here but this movie sucks! I mean, 10 oscars for a movie that ends with Indian dancing while the credit rolls out? Yeah, great way to end that Indian-movie-always-with-the-damn-dancing cliche! Let’s have a normal movie to get their hopes up and then fuck with their heads with a dance at the end!
I loved the first half when he was remembering the answers based on his traumatizing child experiences. Yeah, that was quite moving but as the movie goes on it stars to get a bit, well, boring.
I understand I’m probably alone here but, I stand by my statement: the movie sucks.
